Katy Perry / Retro Hair Tutorial

I wanted to do a tutorial on the hair look that I was wearing in my series of "makeup for light to fair skin tones" videos.  This is my favorite way to get my bangs out of the way on a bad hair day.

What you will need:

1 inch curling iron of your choice (mine was from hot tools)
Heat protectant and hair spray
Brush and a rat tail comb
Hair pins

This is a picture of the look from those videos mention earlier.

Using heat protectant....and just a funny picture to laugh at ;) .....

Divide hair in to sections...

Curl sections starting from the bottom and working your way up....

Use a hair pin and quickly pin the curls to your head before they cool down....

HELLO!  Now you can go do your makeup or mow the lawn or whatever...while to curls cool down in their shape.....

After about 15 to 20 minutes minimum, take out each hair pin and let the curls simply fall....

Finger out the curls to loosen them.....

And then part your hair and roll both front sides backward and use the hair pins to keep in in place.
Hair spray once finished :)

Concealer for Light to Fair Skin Tones

So this is the last post for this mini-series on makeup products for light to fair skin tones.  The video I made for YouTube regarding these products was cut short.  My battery died.  So I am listing the ones that were not mentioned below as well....with a little description of what I like about them.  I hope this has helps some of you guys!  And if you are tan or have a darker skin tone....this will work & look AMAZING on you guys too!

Video # 5!

Concealers Mentioned (and some that were not...):

Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer in Ivory (Light 2-3)
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Fair 10
-also the neutralizer and brightener
Revlon Photo Ready Concealer in Light Pale 002

NYX HD Concealer in Porcelain 01
this is a very light concealer for brightening the under eye area.  It is creamy and blends in well and does have a good amount of coverage.

Maybelline Super Stay Concealer in Ivory 10
this is also a wonderful concealer.  the color is nice and light.  it has wonderful coverage and blends out beautifully.  i use it for my under eyes as well as for spots on my face. its a wonderful dupe for the MAC product listed next!

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC15
this is the only "pricey" one i wanted to mention but it does work very well.  you need very little and it covers amazingly.  it does what it says....it definitely lasts all day.  i use it for my under eyes and spots on my face.  the color is light enough to brighten as well.

NYX "As If" Concealer Stick in 01
this comes in a nice light color and is great for dabbing on tiny areas for concealing.  it's small enough to only cover the spots without being noticeable.

So that is it guys!  Thanks for stopping by!

Nude Lipstick for Light to Fair Skin Tones

I am making a tiny series of my makeup recommendations for people like me who have lighter skin tones.  Sometimes it can be hard to find colors that look right on us.  A majority of the popular nude lipsticks look slightly more brown on more fair skin tones.  These are just a few of my picks that I feel work well for this type of coloring.

Lipsticks Mentioned:
Revlon Matte in Nude Attitude 001
Hard Candy in Fire Alarm 200
Rimmel Moisture Renew in Summer Angel 640
Maybelline in Born With It 015
ELF Mineral Lipstick in Natural Nymph 6715
Laura Geller Lipstick in Berry Vanilla
Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee 095
Maybelline in Rose Glimmer 710
Revlon Colorburst in Soft Nude 070
NYX in Circe 522

I hope this is helpful!

Please check out my YouTube Channel for more description on each of these lipsticks!

Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow Tutorial

I wanted to try out these new shadows from Loreal.  They are beautiful!  The shadow is a mix between a powder and cream shadow.  I can definitely recommend them to people.....just get them when your drugstore is having a Loreal sale.  (I bought mine from Rite Aid when the were have a buy one, get one 50% off for Loreal).  Here are some pictures from the tutorial I posted one YouTube!

The two Loreal Infallible Shadows I used were Eternal Sunshine 997 on the lid & Iced Latte 888 on the inner corners and below the arch of my brow.

I can say that these lasted all day for me.  I did not set either with a powder and they remain just as vibrant and beautiful by the end of a long work day as they started off looking.

Check out my YouTube channel if you want to see how I created this look!

Thank you so, so much for stopping by!

Neutral Eye with Navy Blue

I wanted to play with my Loreal HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Midnight Blue (956).....so this is what I came up with.  Check out my YouTube Channel if you want to see how I did this!

For the rest of my eyes I used the Wet n Wild Vanity Palette (the matte colors) just to deepen the crease a bit.  The eye liner I used was Make Up Forever Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow.  And of course, I used my Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black on the lashes.
I used a dark navy blue shadow over the HIP liner on the lower lash line....just to set it in place and soften in a bit.
